Apple Pie Cupcake

Apple Pie Cupcakes are delicately flavored and soft cupcakes filled with apple pie and topped with stabilized whipped cream. So delicate and tasty! They're reminiscent of a slice of apple pie, but in cupcake shape! 

Apples: I use Granny Smith apples for the filling since they hold up well when baked or fried.  

Fuji, Cortland, Braeburn, and Honeycrisp apples would all be excellent choices. Alternatively, use a combination of apples! 

Spices: I used cinnamon in the apple filling and mixed cinnamon and nutmeg in the cupcakes.  

These toasty spices complement the apples well, bringing out the typical apple pie filling flavor. 

Stabilized Whipped Cream: When piped onto cupcakes, stabilized whipped cream holds together better.  

Of course, ordinary whipped cream or vanilla ice cream would both be fantastic! 

Sure! You can use either pre-made (as in prepare it yourself ahead of time) or store-bought canned apple pie filling.
