21 February 2024: Taylor Swift has been named IFPI's 2023 Global Recording Artist of the Year.

It goes to the artist who topped IFPI's Global Artist Chart, issued today.

Over the past 11 years, Taylor Swift has won the IFPI Global Recording Artist of the Year Award more than any other artist (her 2023 triumph follows 2014, 2019, and 2022).

This win caps a successful year in which the artist's three albums (Midnights and Taylor's Version releases of Speak Now and 1989) topped the charts, and her record-breaking Eras tour increased streaming interaction with her entire discography worldwide.

The 2019 song Cruel Summer rose to the top of global charts four years later.

A record year for Korean artists saw SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids reach second and third on the chart.

ToMORROW X TOGETHER appeared at #7 and NewJeans at #8, while IVE and NCT Dream made their IFPI Global Artist Chart Top 20 debuts at #12 and #15.
